After Project Creators receive donations for their projects, they will need to obtain Patron order information so that they can fulfill their rewards.
This post explains how Project Creators may obtain a CSV file of their Patrons’ reward orders.
1) Log into your Dashboard, and click the MY PROJECTS menu item. This will display all your past and current projects on the Site.
2) Hover your cursor over the project you wish to edit. (In the example below, we will edit “Test Successful Project”.)
Hovering over a project will cause four icons to appear superimposed over the project’s Featured Image.
Next, hover over the rightmost icon (an arrow pointing to the right). This makes a tooltip appear with the text, “Export Orders”.
Click the right-arrow icon.
3) A CSV file composed of that project’s orders will download onto your computer.
(For better readability, you may convert this to an Excel file.)
If you selected the “Immediately Deliver Funds” option for a reward, you will see an alphanumeric string in Column E (transaction_id). This is highlighted yellow below.
On the other hand, if you selected the “100% Threshold” option for a reward, you will see “pre” in Column E (transaction_id). This indicates the transaction is a pre-order, and that the funds will not actually be donated until the campaign ends. See the cell highlighted yellow below.
Important columns in the CSV file are as follows:
Column | Heading | Additional Explanation |
---|---|---|
C | product_name | Project Name: Reward Name |
D | order_date | Date & time of order |
E | transaction_id | Alphanumeric for “Immediately Deliver Funds”; “pre” for “100% Threshold” |
J | price | Dollar price of reward in round numbers |
K | username | email address the Patron registered his account with |
L | Patron’s current email address | |
M | first_name | Patron’s first name |
N | last_name | Patron’s last name |
O – S | address etc. | Patron’s address fields |
T | country | Patron’s two-letter country code |
U | project_title | The title of the project |
V | level_title | The project reward title |
4) Project Creators may wish to cross-check the CSV order file with their Stripe account to verify that all funds have been received by all Patrons who have donated according to the CSV file.
