UPDATE (December 2, 2023): Thank you to everyone who submitted samples of their art. We will make our decision as to whom we will hire for Champion This Project’s header image in the coming days.
Champion This Project! is a new crowdfunding website for independently-produced graphic novels and comic books. Our crowdfunding fee is currently 0%, and we will try to keep our rate at this level for the first $100,000 crowdfunded on the site.
Since our homepage does not currently have a banner image (header image), we are offering $1,100 to an artist for three concept art sketches and one final banner (header) image (pencilled, inked, and colored).
The banner image will be used on our homepage, and possibly as backgrounds on other pages on the site (eg: login and dashboard pages, perhaps). In addition, it will also be used for the site’s online advertising. However, the artist will retain the right to sell their image in the form of posters and other merchandise.
Preference will be given to images related to the superhero genre, but we won’t necessarily turn down phenomenal art from other genres.
The artist who is chosen must be comfortable with the banner (header) image being re-sized or cropped for different screens and ad sizes.
Please note that we’re not really looking for a logo — we’re looking for a header image similar to what used to appear at the top of an old-school blog. (Like a comic book cover or a comic splash page.)
Those who are interested are invited to contact us below. Please include a few direct links to 3 – 5 images of your previous work on your social media account and/or website. These images should be comparable to the banner art you would produce for us.
